All around the web, personal trainers seem to get a bad rap. Not being worth the money they charge, but that’s wrong and here are a few reasons why a good personal trainer is worth their weight in gold.
A (really) healthy buddy
Having a personal trainer is like having a great buddy that is your workout partner more than your trainer. It’s a tailored personality you can count on to know the difference between whining (push me harder) and “no that seriously hurts”
Say something hurts your knees? Your PT can help out and exchange that workout for something similar. It’s keen observation and offering suggestions or alternatives for working out even without the trainer.
Nutrition is cool
It should be super clear to that nutrition is actually more important than what gets done in the gym. Most of the time, a personal trainer that’s a real keeper can offer this for you. It’s not just a supplement to exercise, it’s also a great way to entirely change you mood! (check out this awesome TED talk on the subject)
Awesome trainers will actively try to introduce you to new friends & people in your workout area. I’m talking other folks they know at the gym, you meet new people & see how friendly the PT you’re trusting your progress to really is.
A lot of characteristics go into a top notch personal trainer.
It’s not rocket science, it’s body science.
